Throughout its implementation, the project closely exchanged with the Community of Practice, in the definition of use cases, as well as Key Performance Indicators. Future cooperation between both parties is planned beyond the project’s lifetime.
Representatives from Delivery Express, EFACEC, INEGI, INESCTEC, MSG Automotive/Soares Gonçalves, and MC Sonae participated in the event, which included presentations on the Porto Living Lab, its scenarios, and results. The group also discussed the results of the CoP validation surveys and held a closing session.
The participants concluded that the project’s simulations and real experimentation were positive and should be continued in the near and long-term. They also identified areas for improvement, including using a longer time range for historical analysis, forecasting future deliveries, and preparing to maintain the same level of service to customers despite business growth.
The group agreed that maintaining the synergies created within the Community of Practice would be crucial to achieving a higher impact within the Porto region. Overall, the LEAD project was a success, and the participants were optimistic about its prospects.
