A workshop focusing on Resilient planning for Sustainable Urban Logistics’, organised by the UlaaDS project, will take place online on Wednesday, June 9th, between 10:00 – 12:00 (CET). It will explore how cities are dealing with uncertainties in the context of Sustainable Urban Logistics Planning (SULP) and how cities can make urban logistics more resilient. LEAD will be presented by the project coordinator, EMT Madrid.
Increasing resilience in our cities means making sure that our cities can deal with unforeseen circumstances. In the case of transport systems, we need to find ways to equip them with tools to face future crises that might arise from climate change, geopolitical tensions or other disruptions. Planning the unplannable and dealing with uncertainties will therefore have to become an important aspect of decision-making processes together with new adaptive planning methods that will allow cities to promptly respond and re-adapt to mutating circumstances.
The workshop will explore how cities are dealing with uncertainties in the context of Sustainable Urban Logistics Planning (SULP) and how cities can make urban logistics more resilient. Session organisers have created a short survey to collect insights from potential participants to make the workshops as interactive as possible. You can answer the survey here.
During the session, the results of the survey will be discussed, as we explore how cities are dealing with uncertainties in the context of Sustainable Urban Logistics Planning (SULP) and how they can make urban logistics more resilient. LEAD will be presented by the project coordinator, EMT Madrid.
